The search for a dental aesthetic standard is on the rise these days, considering that in addition to improving self-esteem, it improves personal and professional relationships. Among the numerous aesthetic procedures, there is gingivoplasty/gingivectomy, which aims to establish the correct biological space between the gingiva and the tooth. The general objective of this study was to report a clinical case of gingival correction, through gingivectomy, performed at the clinic of the Centro Universitário do Vale do Araguaia - UNIVAR. Patient JPDS, male, 25 years old, student, from the city of Barra do Garças - MT, in his first consultation, it was noticed that the gums on teeth 11 and 21 were misaligned, bringing disharmony to his smile, in addition to the teeth 12, 13, 22 and 23 had short clinical crowns. After the surgery, and the complete repair of the periodontium, it is concluded that the harmony of the smile was achieved, guaranteeing a satisfactory esthetics.
