Este artigo visa analisar o impacto influenciador de decorrência preventivas∕ ostensivas por parte da Polícia Militar (PM) de segurança de trânsito e na prevenção de mortalidade no trânsito de Barra do Garças- MT. Objetivou-se realizar pesquisa exploratória de campo, com abordagem quanti-qualitativa com método dedutivo, partindo da análise de legislações nacionais, com vistas à compreensão do direito de todos os cidadãos a um trânsito seguro nesta cidade. Referente aos procedimentos, a pesquisa fora bibliográfica, com especial atenção aos direitos fundamentais do cidadão e à legislação de Trânsito vigente. Fez-se necessário coletar informações de Boletins de Ocorrência da PM de Barra do Garças- MT. Evidenciou-se que a PM vem desempenhando seu papel como órgão fiscalizador, porém, ainda assim, existe um elevado índice de mortes na cidade, concluindo-se ser necessário uma melhoria no trabalho já realizado que vá além das sanções administrativas e penais, realizando a conscientização da população com campanhas educativas de trânsito.
This article aims to analyze the influencing impact of preventive∕ostensive actions by the Military Police (PM) on traffic safety and the prevention of mortality in traffic in Barra do Garças- MT. The objective was to carry out exploratory field research, with a quantitative-qualitative approach with a deductive method, based on the analysis of national legislation, with a view to understanding the right of all citizens to safe traffic in this city. Regarding procedures, the research was bibliographical, with special attention to the fundamental rights of citizens and current Traffic legislation. It was necessary to collect information from police reports from the police in Barra
do Garças-MT. It was evident that the PM has been playing its role as a supervisory body, however, there is still a high rate of deaths in the city, concluding that it is necessary to improve the work already carried out that goes beyond administrative and criminal sanctions, carrying out public awareness with educational traffic campaigns.
