The research on dietary supplementation among exercise practitioners in Barra do Garças/MT aimed to understand the effects and importance of these products for improving performance and training outcomes. Using a quantitative-qualitative approach, questionnaires were administered to 32 physical activity practitioners in the region, collecting data on the types of supplements used, frequency of use, and objectives. The results indicated that creatine and whey protein are the most popular supplements, with the majority of respondents reporting significant improvements in strength and muscle recovery. However, it was emphasized that professional guidance, whether from a nutritionist or physical educator, is crucial to avoid health risks. The research concluded that despite the benefits, supplementation should be accompanied by a balanced diet and specialized guidance, thus ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the intended results.
