A fotografia está inserida na Odontologia desde 1848, registrando e documentando as alterações da cavidade oral e os resultados dos tratamentos realizados. A fotografia é um recurso que possibilita o Cirurgião Dentista, identificar, analisar, sugerir e planejar eventos odontológicos de forma melhorar a condição de saúde do paciente. Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar e identificar as possíveis alterações na cavidade oral, por meio das fotografias extraoral e intraoral sendo possível identificá-las em várias etapas de desenvolvimento. A metodologia utilizada foi a instituição de padronização para as imagens fotográficas realizadas dos pacientes, permitindo uma análise da imagem magnificada, possibilitando a visualização e identificação de alterações nas estruturas dentais sugerindo comprometimento endodôntico. Ao final, pode-se considerar a fotografia como um recurso auxiliar no diagnóstico das alterações orais, assim como no planejamento dos casos clínicos.

Photography has been part of dentistry since 1848, recording and documenting changes in the oral cavity and the results of treatments performed. Photography is a resource that enables the Dental Surgeon to identify, analyze, suggest and plan dental events in order to improve the patient's health condition. This work aims to report and identify possible changes in the oral cavity, through extraoral and intraoral photographs, making it possible to identify them at various stages of development. The methodology used was the institution of standardization for the photographic images carried out of the patients, allowing an analysis of the magnified image, allowing the visualization and identification of alterations in the dental structures suggesting endodontic compromise. In the end, photography can be considered as an auxiliary resource in the diagnosis of oral alterations, as well as in the planning of clinical cases.
