O objetivo deste trabalho é descrever e analisar um caso clínico de hepatopatia canina, abordando as características clínicas, diagnóstico, tratamento e evolução do paciente, com o intuito de contribuir para o aprimoramento do entendimento e manejo de doenças hepáticas em cães. Durante o atendimento com tratamento empírico para o controle de sintomas e suporte nutricional verificou-se alternâncias significativas entre os parâmetros referentes à patologia até que fosse dado o status de cura clínica. O desenrolar do caso apresenta como o conhecimento prático da clínica veterinária é essencial para solucionar atendimentos de alto risco e complexidade, permitindo maiores chances de sucesso no atendimento dos pacientes.
The objective of this study is to describe and analyze a clinical case of canine hepatopathy, a disease of unspecified cause that affects the liver, addressing the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and evolution of the patient, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the understanding and management of liver diseases in dogs. During the treatment with empirical treatment for symptom control and nutritional support, significant alternations were observed between the parameters related to the pathology until the status of clinical cure was given. The development of the case shows how practical knowledge of veterinary clinic is essential to solve high-risk and complex care, allowing greater chances of success in the care of patients.
