Beef cattle farming is an activity of great economic importance in Brazil, facing challenges related to low productivity and reproductive efficiency. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of puberty induction protocols in Nellore heifers using injectable progesterone and fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI). A total of 768 Nellore heifers, approximately 18 months of age and weighing an average of 300 kg, were used, distributed in eight lots. Dietary supplementation with 1% ration and Andropogon grass provided slightly higher pregnancy rates than exclusive feeding with Andropogon grass. The study confirms the efficacy of puberty induction protocols and artificial insemination in Nellore heifers, especially when associated with adequate dietary supplementation. These findings are promising for improving reproductive efficiency and productivity in beef cattle farming, contributing to the sustainability and profitability of the sector
