Atualmente os padrões de beleza buscam ser seguidos pelos indivíduos, almejando aumentar a autoestima e consequentemente a aceitação. O objetivo desse trabalho, corrigir o sorriso gengival da paciente por meio da Gengivectomia, regularizando a protuberância óssea com Osteotomia, devolvendo estética, funcionalidade a paciente, resolvendo sua queixa principal de “Dentes pequenos ao sorrir”. A descrição do caso clínico, paciente R.C.J. F, gênero feminino, 21 anos, buscou atendimento, com a queixa principal de “dentes pequenos. Antes do procedimento cirúrgico realizou anamnese, exames radiográficos periapicais e profundidade de sondagem entre 02 a 03 milímetros nas faces proximais e vestibulares sem sangramento gengival. Planejado préviamente e explicado à paciente, respeitando os princípios da odontologia a decisão da paciente, superou as expectativas ao final do tratamento. Resultados obtidos supriram expectativas da paciente. Gengivectomia associada à osteotomia é uma técnica segura e previsível capaz de resultados satisfatórios, duradouros no tratamento estético de pacientes com erupção passiva alterada.

Currently, beauty standards seek to be followed by individuals, aiming to increase self-esteem and consequently acceptance. The objective of this work is to correct the patient's gingival smile through Gingivectomy, regularizing the bone bulge with Osteotomy, returning aesthetics, functionality to the patient, resolving her main complaint of "Small teeth when smiling". The description of the clinical case, patient R.C.J. F, female, 21 years old, sought care, with the main complaint of "small teeth. Before the surgical procedure performed anamnesis, periapical radiographic examinations and probing depth between 02 to 03 millimeters on the proximal and vestibular faces without gingival bleeding. Previously planned and explained to the patient, respecting the principles of dentistry the patient's decision, exceeded expectations at the end of the treatment. Results obtained met the patient's expectations. Gingivectomy associated with osteotomy is a safe and predictable technique capable of satisfactory, long-lasting results in the aesthetic treatment of patients with altered passive rash.
