Resumo em língua estrangeira
This study explores the conflict between vegan ethics and beef production, analyzing how different perspectives on veganism and farming practices influence public opinion. The aim was to assess consumer perceptions of replacing animal protein with plant-based alternatives, the impact of animal welfare practices, and the effectiveness of current regulations. The survey was distributed via WhatsApp, collecting data from August 28 to September 10, 2024, involving 85 participants. Veganism is viewed as a radical solution to animal suffering and environmental sustainability. However, meat production faces ethical challenges that require practical solutions. The implementation of stricter animal welfare laws is an effective strategy, aligning production practices with the ethical values advocated by activists, while promoting animal protection and environmental sustainability.
